At 1333m above sea level, among the managed woods of Val Visdende, there is the nature trail of monumental trees, where you can admire the prestigious spruce trees over 50 meters tall, with a calculated age of up to 216 years. To reach this route, you reach the town of Costa d'Antola and after the bridge and a short climb you will find the route on your left. In the woods there is also the magnificent Resonance fir, a very rare species used by luthiers to build the soundboard of many stringed instruments. Even today, many luthiers frequent these woods in winter to choose the plant directly, just like Stradivari himself did.
