The Rhaetian Way, conceived and designed by Francesco De Bortoli, given in provisional management to the Association of social promotion Carpe Diem Feltre, is a path that will lead you on a journey through time, immersing yourself in silent woods, lonely villages, populated and welcoming villages.
The route can be walked in seven days between 10 municipalities of Veneto and Trentino, for a total length of about 170km with departure and arrival from Aune di Sovramonte. The route develops at medium altitudes, between 400 and 1300 meters, in the footsteps of the ancient pre-Roman tracks of the Cismon Valley, the highlands of Sovramonte and Lamon, the historic villages of Fonzaso, Arsiè, Seren del Grappa, Cesiomaggiore, Feltre and Pedavena. All places of historical interest, such as the site of the discovery of the burial of the man of Val Rosna, the Neanderthal site of Mount Avena, the Sanctuary of San Vittore and Corona, the Villa of Centenere (which preserves the milestone inherent to the Roman road Claudia Augusta Altinate) and the walled city of Feltre.
And also places of natural interest such as the Seren Valley, the slopes of Monte Grappa and the natural area of Vinchetto.
And places of tourist interest, such as Ponte Serra, Monte Avena, Lake Corlo, Birreria Pedavena, the bicycle museum in Cesiomaggiore.
An initiative that will surprise tourists willing to discover the traditions and knowledge of the Feltre valley and beyond, thanks to the interaction and contribution of local people, and to find hidden corners away from mass tourism.
