The Carnival in Castion is a marvelous crossroads of fantastic allegorical floats created every year by skilled and ingenious volunteers from the districts of Castion.
Every year, for an entire day, the streets and the square of Castion come alive with masked floats, each with a different story to tell, and there’s also music with DJs, shows for everyone, and the joy of both adults and children in original carnival costumes.
The program for Sunday, February 23 is as follows:
10:00 AM - opening of food stands and "Nonno Ildo" play area
11:30 AM - masquerade parade
2:00 PM - start of the parade of allegorical floats and groups (along the Pian delle Feste)
4:30 PM - awards
Throughout the day, face painting for children organized by the Parents' Committee of Elementary Schools.
