The route offers suggestive views of the Schiara group and the Rui Fret valley.
Starting from the parking lot of Case Bortot, take the path to the refuge Settimo Alpini (CAI 501). After about 15 minutes, take the detour on the left to Forcella Mompiana (CAI 506) and continue to the saddle of Col Forongol (altitude 961).
A fifty meters after you take the detour on the right (sign) to casera dei Pez. Continue through a slight descent through the woods and soon you reach the casera (open but not guarded). Continue through the clearing in front of the casera for about fifty meters, then the path turns right and continues quite steep, in the woods, with several turns lowering in the Ardo valley until you reach, with a long crossing the path to the refuge Settimo Alpini that leads back to Case Bortot.
Tip: the summit of Col Forongol, about fifty meters from the saddle where the path passes, offers an extraordinary view of the Schiara group and the valleys of Rui Fret and Ardo (be careful not to lean out).
