Feltre Castle, better known as Alboino Castle, according to historical research was built on a pre-existing Roman watchtower by the famous Lombard king. The castle is located at the highest point of the Hill and was completely surrounded by walls with four corner towers, according to the traditional composition of manors found throughout the area. The northern tower, at the Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower), was called the Torre delle Polveri (Powder Tower) and only the foundations of it remain.
Above the entrance door on the ground floor, three coats of arms are carved in bas-relief: the one in the center features a turreted castle, which is the City's coat of arms. Painted on the south facade of the Campanon there was a lion of St. Mark, the symbol of the Republic of Venice that ruled the city from 1404 to 1797.
Currently, the two towers that have recently undergone restoration can be visited.
