The fountain trail is a nature walk, immersed in the pre-Alpine landscape of the Alanese basin, which is also known as the Basin of Gold Medals for Military Valor.
It is a path that leads to the rediscovery of the old water sources that in the past influenced the daily and social life of the village: the fountains. The latter were one of the social meeting points of the past, as families gathered during the ritual of fetching the water necessary for daily life. They were also the place for washing clothes, known in dialect as lissia, and a play environment for the little ones.
Here you will discover the importance of water, which is the symbol of life, that in the past was cherished like a precious jewel and a communal good. Of particular note is the Fontana de la Calonega as it is an old washhouse that remains intact to this day.
With a small detour, you can also admire the church of San Lorenzo, which is located on top of a hill immersed in the woods in a truly enchanting landscape.
