Museo del Caffé

Inaugurated in 2010, the building, a completely renovated former bachificio (silkworm farm), occupies an area of about 600 square meters and is spread over two floors. There are 3 roasters on display at the Museum: on the first floor starting from the left, you can see a German toaster from 1880, followed by two Italian ones, from 1910 and 1950 respectively. The route, entitled "... from the plant to the cup, a journey through the history of coffee ...", allows the visitor, following a path of walkable cups, to discover and learn about the entire coffee supply chain. In fact, it starts with the Arabica coffea plants, placed inside an air-conditioned greenhouse and continues with the history of roasting, grinding and the coffee maker and then concludes with the history of the espresso coffee machine. The exhibition ends in the large tasting and training room, on the upper floor of the Museum, where Dersut has created its own Training Center, where theoretical-practical courses are periodically held for both customers and future managers, in order to spread the culture of Italian espresso coffee. You can admire also the vast exhibition of historical documentation and photographic material concerning the company which, in 2009, celebrated its 60th anniversary of activity.
