In October 2010, Dersut inaugurated its Coffee Museum, a space dedicated to the history and culture of coffee.
The exhibition covers an area of about 600 square meters and is spread over two floors.
The museum path, titled “… from plant to cup, a journey through the history of coffee..”, allows visitors, following a path of walkable coffee cups, to discover and learn about the entire coffee supply chain. It starts with the Arabica coffee plants, placed inside a climate-controlled greenhouse, and continues with the history of roasting, grinding, and the coffee pot, concluding with the history of the espresso machine.
The highlight of the exhibition is the three roasters on display: on the first floor, starting from the left, one can observe a German model from 1880, followed by two Italian models from 1910 and 1950, respectively.
The exhibition concludes in the spacious tasting and training room on the upper floor of the Museum, where Dersut has established its Training Center, where theoretical-practical courses are periodically held for both customers and future managers, with the intent of spreading the culture of Italian espresso coffee.
Completing the exhibit is a vast display of historical documentation and photographic material related to the company, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2009.
