The bell-tower stands out in front of the Cathedral and it is the emblem of the city. It has a cylindrical form and dates back to the 11th century. It is in Romanesque style reminiscent of the Ravenna specimens in the Byzantine tradition. It is 48 meters high, leaning slightly eastwards, and it is divided into four sections ending in a conic-shaped cusp. The stairs inside have been recently renovated, thus affording people to reach the top and enjoy the landscape from above.
